Rabbi YY thank you for this and all your shiurim. The duality of HaShem and His Name always bothered me until I heard this Shiur and realized two things (maybe i didn't realize them perhaps you said it outright but I wasn't able to hear it) 1. HaShem's Name had to always exist or else the revelation of HaShem would have brought about a change in HaShem which clearly cannot be. 2. Deeper and more to the point of your shiur (i think) HaShem's Name derives directly from his hiddennes prior to creation. Like you said in your shiur the first stage of revelation is the he'elem, and before before creation, HaShem was hidden essentially because there was no one else to perceive Him, which is actually the source of His Name. At least that's what I understood-- If I understood the shiur correctly. If I've misunderstood please correct me.
Again thank you for all of your wonderful shiurim

The Rogachover suffered when he couldn't write his ideas on Shabbos
But.. .why couldn't he remember those ideas like the oral scribes for the Rebbe who remembered a series of ideas when writing wasn't permitted?

The teacher shouldn't overwhelm the student
He must contract his knowledge such that the student can receive and understand.
But.....when Hashem began to communicate the 10 commandments, it was overwhelming for the people and they passed away. Then He resumed the discourse to Moshe alone who was the only one able to receive the uncontracted communication
