So maybe you're saying
that doing the right thing - doing the right thing could be understood differently by people - (eg paying the mortgage?) can get you to the state of Ay?

identity politics
today's problems with identity politics is the pre mesianic surfacing of this restlessless of the yesh to find the ayin
but without torah it becomes confused and misguided

A heart beats in and out. The lungs breathe in and out
The relaxation phase is as important and necessary as the positive beat of the heart and the inhalation of the lungs. In rotzo v'shuv, both in and out are equally important

Is "rest" a creation?
Of course. Just look at the leisure and entertainment industry.

Hashem finished and saw that it was good
Did He doubt Himself? Unsure of His capability? Unable to see the future, even before time?

There is the seventh special day, Shabbos
Then there is the seventh special year, Shemitta.
But the greatest is the special seventh millenia, that starts with the year 6,000, a little over 200 years from now (or sooner as one can bring in Shabbos early), the zman of Moshiach!
