"black light"
Question: Thank you for a very interesting lesson, rabbi! I take it that the black light you were referring to is otherwise known as the ohr haganuz?
***
Answer: I’m no Mikubal, but Ohr HaGanuz, (which, of course, pervaded all of space in the beginning of creation), is usually an allusion to all the Ohr [Ein Sof] prior to the (so called) first Tzimtzum, while the (so called) “black Light” alludes to what is called “Etezem Ohr EIn Sof” which is “Hamshacha vlo Giluy”. It is Ohr (drawn out of the Maor) and not Maor, but that has no Giluy or Hispashtus. See Basi Ligani 5711 ch. 1, see 5667 p. 511 ff.
