    summary
Interesting contrast I think we should reflect on:

Empathy (majority of other chassidic books, empathize) vs. Practical solutions (Tanya, Alter Rebbe). Parable of child failing and two responses from parents.

Story of mishnayos Adeyos ch. 5 where father didn't give recommendation to his son to give hin emotional independence to the individual. As father was on his deathbed and didn't want him to live a life of emotional dependency on dad.

This is what Alter rebbe was about and was unwavering of this point. Today's society is medocracy. everyone is a victim need to be "empathized." people love to romanticize their inability and what they can't do. Empathy doesn't mean you just empathize, you know who they are and what they are capable of and feel that they are under estimating themselves.

Avodah is challenging yourself in each owns specific area.

INSPIRING-THANK YOU! I can't believe this is coming from a C r o w n H e i g h t s 'er. May your words impact those who are clueless about being kind/thoughtful in a simple way toward others, although Torah learning is their life.

What Happens When a Chasid ends up n H---
I love everything Rabbi Y Y Jacobson says, tells, explains, and teaches. I never knew before Finding Rabbi Jacobson a few weeks ago, what Tanya is. Now that I am learning, I thank you for now, then, and always.

I am probably "Reformed," if I must categorize myself. I do not understand all the Yiddish and miss some things; I still enjoy so very much, being a part of the big "Rock."

May G-D continue to bless you Rabbi, your loved ones, met, and not met yet. I pray for the same blessings for us all.

    Thank you,

I end this note most warmly, and thankfully.
