Thanks so much for this inspiring Shiur! I loved every word of it! It must need a lot of courage, but it’s very encouraging that you dare to speak so openly about this subject!

I'm in the middle of the Birkas Dovid Keynote speech, I have heard the story with Shalom Ber previously, but the way you tell it over it's mamush like hearing it for the first time.
I had thought of an idea while learning Mishnayos Taanis which I wanted to share with you. I believe it relates somewhat to the idea that was brought out during the speech.
In the story of Choni Hamaagal he draws a circle and stood within it and said he is not leaving until the rain begins to fall. At first it the rain trickled down. Choni came beseeched G-d again saying they requested a more healthy and bountiful rain and then it began to pour violently. Choni returned and said they did not request this kind of rain and then it began to fall beneficently.
Shimon Ben Shatach had heard about Choni's tactics and he said to him if you weren't Choni I would decree an ex-communication upon you. But what can I do, you have rebelled against G-d and he has fulfilled your will like a father whose son rebelled against him and has no choice but to fulfill his every wish.
I believe in these words of Shimon Ben Shatach lies the notion that every wayward child needs indiscriminate and endless love and that is what is mandated in Torah.

Just finished listening to it. Amazing. Huge Yasher Koach!
Btw, Rabbi Twerski Z"tl starts off one of his books with a story of when he was once sitting in a shvitz
As a bonus, I never knew that I understood so much Yiddush.

I am impressed with the breadth of your knowledge and your intelligence!
The story with the rov and the Rebbe rayatz is very fascinating! The Rebbe rayatz's brilliance in the understanding of human psychology is amazing! This story provides lots of insights about how Chabad was so successful at making so many balei teshuva...

I am a parent that needed this shiur, I was so egoistic (tho i never would have DREAMED so without it being thrust into my face like this), my son suffered emotionally quite alot as a result. I can't change my past actions but I know now with what determination i want to and will go forward and to envelop my son and my other 4 children ka'h in love and care (even without understanding him/them) without any cheshboinos. Bz'H bekarov etzlech!!!
