Dovid Hamelech
Recently in Mishpacha magazine there was a feature on the Sarno method, which is based on the repression of emotional pain. One of the letters the follwoing week was from Mrs. Juravel of Monsey who pointed out that Dovid HaMelech in Tehillim is very real about his pain. He doesn't say "Oh they are coming to kill me,but hey it's all good" (my words not hers). Since seeing that I must say I have a new sefer tehillim. In the past I would focus on all the beautiful hopeful pesukim of bitachon and yeshuos, ignoring the pleas and creis of pain, but now I see something else. Dovid HaMelech's real emotion and real cries of fear and pain and worry. Of course followed by bitachon and hope for yeshuos but very real exresssions nonetheless.
