  I just wanted to share something I’ve been thinking about. And I hope it’s ok to add my thoughts.
  
  Rabbi YY mentioned that we’re the generation entrusted with connecting to our essence, to Truth, to find meaning.
  
  I honestly think that this is a direct prerequisite for the coming of Moshiach for this reason:
  Moshiach will embody Truth and he will speak it. And unfortunately, most of the Jewish world is not in touch with that raw Truth. If anyone speaks the truth, they become controversial at best. If there’s any Jewish person we can think of, even a Rav, who may qualify as Moshiach today, a large part of the frum world wouldn’t accept him as Moshiach - and we know it’s true.
  
  So I think our generation was meant to peel away at the layers of pretenses and walls, even if they had originally been erected for good reason so that we as the Jewish people will be able to recognize and embrace the embodiment of Truth once he arrives.

  To be honest, I opened this video talk with a good bit of skepticism of the ability of a layman (ie, non-psychologist), albeit an inspirational and brilliant rabbi/teacher, to speak on the subject of mental health. But now that I have listened to this question-and-answer conversation with the affable and inquisitive Rabbi Schonbrun, I see that Rabbi YY is a unique fountain of wisdom and insight in the modern state of mental health.  I gained so much from listening to this conversation. I think you will also be glad you clicked on this video.
