  היה קשה לי בפשט הנפלא שאמר מעלת כבודו ביום שלישי העבר, דשמאי קיבל את הגר בסבר פנים יפות, הא בהמעשה שקודם את זה רואים שגערו והוציאו בנזיפה. ומצאתי היום תירץ. רצוף פה. ובזה מיושב שאכן בהראון גער בו אבל בהשני לימדו את היסוד הנפלא שדחפו באמת הבנין. ומצורף פה צילום מפירוש הבן יהוידע על הסוגיא בשבת לא.

    ועדיין צ"ע סיום הסוגיא, שמצד שמאי היו נטרדים מהעולם.

    ויש ליישב שהכוונה שעיקר ההתעסקות היתה בשלילה ולא בחיוב.

  I heard this Moshol about the two sons in law from my Father Z'L when I was a young boy some 50 years ago. We davenned in a oilomshe shul where my father had a job as a Shamash. He come to England with that job in 1939 with brocho of Freidige Rebbe. His wage was 5 pounds a week and remained the same till his retirement in 1976. (the Rebbe would not let him leave the job -- another story.).

  Anyway, someone came and said kadish with V'yatzmach eliciting a furious response from some mispallelim. My father then quietened them down and told them that the Chofetz Chaim witnessed a similar scene and he said, "Un vos art ihr az Moshiach vert takeh yeh kumen in gichen".Then the Chofetz Chaim said the moshol you gave. Then he ended up saying, "meila amohl is gevern der Baal HaTanya un der Vilna Gaon un andere gedoilim fun Misnagdim un Chasidim, ober heint farvos zizt men nit zuzamen es is nebech alz kartofel, alz kartofel." That is the way my father said it over.

  Your story about michik/fleishik was unreal. Maybe that’s the רמז in the Parsha Beshalach:
