Shalom to all.
This is a very beautiful maamar speaking about several large topics.
There seemed to be some q's fr people about how to apply it in our lives in actuality. I kept thinking about one of my favorite concepts - spectrum - it's not all or nothing, it's not black or white - there's a whole incredible range in between the two.
the maamar speaks about connecting (d'veikus) w/the ain sof. Spoken about is the concept that ain sof is beyond and above and without time and we people are living within time. to be able to connect into that place beyond time and above time is a very good thing and even allows us to do tschuva in a very deep and effective way. tapping into the consciousness of Hashem thru our daily lives seems to be the goal
I heard some comments expressing wonder at how one can do that? Obviously, Hashem is infinite and we are finite - how can we completely achieve this d'veikus in a 100% way?
I thought that it is a spectrum like many other things - there's a large spectrum between being totally disconnected, totally out of d'veilkus with achieving 100% pure d'veikus. I see our individual, personal goal as moving in that direction towards d'veikus - in our speaking, thoughts and actions. that's all we can do - we can't expect to achieve d'veikus like Moshe Rabbeinu or other of our great leaders. One could have the thought - "I can't achieve d'veikus like that, what's the point at all?" the point is to move slowly and steadily in that direction toward more d'veikus and in days, weeks months and years the d'veikus will become greater and greater.
then I saw our cherished Rabbi YY Jacobson's article of this week
A Small Step for Man; A Giant Step for G-d: It’s Never All or Nothing
He gives the answer to our/my question and brings the whole maamer into a form that we
can assimilate it and bring it into our lives.
