Seeing the contradictions in God's promise, why didn't Abraham think he might be in an illusion

Seeing the contradictions in G-D promise, why didn't Abraham think , that he might be in an illusion?

      Great question.

But Avraham knew "contradictions" in human minds are not the litmus test for the Divine truth. Even if there is no contradiction, how can he accept G-d's command to kill a child? Again, our logic does not define truth. Obviously, Avraham knew without question that G-d was talking to him; if he had a question about that -- he would be killing an innocent person because of a fantasy vision.

The explaination of avraham being present, not disassociating, keeping his feet on the ground,  is fascinating! I guess  having emunah peshitah is not so pashot at all..

Ytzak is from gevurah , and the Torah portion speaks of rahamime, above compassion  so could it be speaking of the compassion  hidden within  judgment, and how a person must be willing to go deep to find it ?
