Hashem's aizer kinegdo
A wife is an "eizer kinegdo", i.e. an oppositional helpmate, to a husband. By being in opposite (sometimes) it brings out latsnt koychos. In Parliamentary systems its called "Her Majesty's loyal opposition".
Hashem was like a bachelor with no one to opppose Him, no one to bring out latent koychos.
By giving us free choice to wrr by breaching the Torah's commandments, we test Hashem, and bring out His mercy like no other creation can do. We are the wife, at times fulfilling our responsibility and at other times, not.
