  That is such a wise and thoughtful, mature, evolved answer Rebbe YY gave to political q.   To look at things as black and white, left and right, dark & bright, etc w/o any spectrum in between seems to look at creation very superficially

  Surely, though there are machlokisim that are holy and correct. The Frederiker Rebbe was jailed because of his "machlokis" with communism.

  Rashi says אתה וכל עדתך הנעדים אִתְּךָ עַל ה', כִּי בְשְׁלִיחוּתוֹ עָשִׂיתִי לָתֵת כְּהֻנָּה לְאַהֲרֹן, וְלֹא לָנוּ הוּא הַמַּחֲלֹקֶת הַזֶּה -chazal seem to imply the machlokes was with moshe also (ayen sanhedrin 110 as well) what midah does moshe represent in this discussion?

  Question for Rabbi YY

  You should have a gevaldik year which should include the ultimate geula. A physical prison imprisons the body, but not necessarily the neshoma. Ask Rubashkin. Can it be said that the body imprisons the soul? If so, can it be said that the 3 Tammuz of 1927 foreshadowed the 3 Tammuz of 1994? "Mayseh Avos siman lebonim".

  Very powerful and meaningful shiur last week.  I got out of it -- kadosh kadosh kadosh is connected to thoughts speech and actions.  Over Shabbos every time we said kadosh kadosh kadosh in the davening I remembered what R Jacobson said:  dont' let your thoughts get hijacked.   I experienced a sense of pulling my thoughts back to a better place from where they may have wandered off to.  Trying to incorporate this more into all moments of life.  Change thoughts of "I was a failure, I am a failure and I will be a failure" to "Hashem hayah Hashem hoveh Hashem yihiyeh - H" was, H" is and H' will be.            Thoughts speech and actions are the garments for the midos - i think that means that the more we use thoughts speech and action to move toward 'Echad" ie unity w/Hashem then our midos will become more better and complete.      Is what I said right?    chazak v'baruch
