How do we know what our mission is in the world there is so much torah to learn and so many different mitzvos to do. it can get overwhelming. what should we focus on.

  Boys and girls arn't equel. Why do some achronim (i think it is achronim i honstly dont rerember who - it might be rambam or chazal or....) say they would rather burn the entire torah than let a girl see it? Why do girls have to be embaressed and cover there bodies? Why do men have absolute control over wommon? Why cant a wommon be a rov? I think you will find that all genders are equel. Just some are more equel than others.

My son has had this question bothering him for a long time:

Why did Hashem make such a thing as nightmares and fears that don't serve a purpose e.g. fear of dark?

7.5 year old Q’s about free will vs. hashgacha pratit
Dear Rabbi YY,

Id like to thank you for everything you do. Your lectures and shiurim have been life changing, and your authenticity and genuine love for all Jews is refreshing.

my question is- as a parent, how do I explain the concepts of free will and hashgacha pratit to my 7.5 son who is asking me about this (in an age appropriate way?) how does responsibility for our behavior/decisions fit into 'free will' if Hashem knows what the future will be anyway?

I'm afraid I'm confusing him with answers that are way beyond what he can absorb and do not want to turn him off. However, it's important that he understands These concepts since he is asking them at such a young age.

I sent this question in an email as well (the email provides more context and personal information).

I want to thank you again for the important work you do, and I hope Hashem blesses you and your family with health, strength, and happiness.

Sometimes when somebody embarrasses me in public, I find it hard to forgive them. Can you give me some ideas on how to forgive them.

  It is very nice to hear from you and thanks for your email.
  
  It is very very difficult indeed. No one has the right to humiliate and embarrass someone in public (or in private).
  
  Try to speak to the people involved, explain to them how it hurts you. Or ask your parents or teacher to do that. They must stop.
  
  When you speak to them, maybe you will realize they did not understand what they were doing. And they will realize how hurtful it is.
  
  But remember that when someone embaraases you, they are really embarrassing themselves even more.
  
  If they apologize to you, then you can forgive them knowing they regret it and will stop doing it.
  
  If they continue to insult you and do not apologize it is much harder to forgive, and you are not obligated to forgive, unless you are a very strong and confident person in which you may always be able to forgive.
  
  But really if they continue to do this to you or others it must be stopped.
