  The king appointed them because apparently he did not trust any one. So he thought that between a blind and lame person the orchard would be secure, as they would not be able to fetch fruits, yet their very presence would scare off would be intruders.
  In the spiritual symbolism of the metaphor, the body and soul both are limited in one area and they need each other. The soul can see but it is somewhat "lame." The body is "blind," but it can "move." So they need each other to fulfill their mission in life.

  Nice connections/associations I will continue to ponder as they "play" out (pun intended:)) in my life/surroundings/actions, etc. Also, thanks for helping to clarify all the terminology (“seraphim,” “chayos” and “ofanim,” for example) that we encounter in our davening - especially for us bt's.

  I had never heard a teaching that G-s' concealment is the meaning of "The worlds are created by Kindness". It is such a great insight that only Alter Rebbe can reveal.
  After learning Chassidus, I have been always thinking that bris is made on the reproductive organ because intimacy and bringing children in this world are the most sacred thing.

  Thank you, Rabbi, for good class. If I can suggest to Rabbi who creates curriculum: please write line by line translation to English. It is very difficult to follow the text and thoughts without it. Then it will be great if some introduction to the class will be written too.
