Thank you Rabbi yy
todays section was just what the dr ordered its is so easier to get trapped by the desire for hislahavus which can then lead to resentment of having to deal with the mundane

The comment on the passuk in Tehillim is from Rav Uri of Strelisk. What is closer? Here, or there?

One is closer to the other when doing their will rather
Than just being together, close. So going away on request to do an errand is closer by doing their will than just being together.
So too, we are "closer" to Hashem when our neshoma comes down here on our life's errand, rather than merely staying up there as neshoma.
The song speaks of a neshoma going down against it's will. And later, at the end of life, when we are used it down here, tho we've done our "errand" of living,, we are loathe to go back up, i.e. become nifter.
At both departures, going down and back up, the neshoma must be forced against its will.

Your home is your essence
And altho Hashem's home is this lowly world, His ultimate home within the home of the world, was the Beis Hamigdash.
So WHY DID HE ALLOW THE DESTRUCTION OF HIS HOME WITHIN HIS HOME??

There are 2 ways we can perceive ourselves
1. From our lowly point of view, we are like animals and so we seek to go higher.
2. From Hashem's point of view, we are pure ruchnious, a spark of Elokus, and so we seek to imitate Hashem and make a dwelling below.
From the secind point of view we come from a high place and must force a lowering, but from the first point of view, we force going up.
Ultimately we must make a dwelling place below, with practical physical mitzvos. From one point of view we were down and just dealt with "down" things; but from the other point of view, we are high and must force going down and dealing with physicality.
