In other maamorim it's explained that Yisroel going up in HaShems thought is at the level of Adam Kadmon. So how can we understand that the Jewish Nashama is a chelek Eloka MeMaal Mamash?

In others words how do we understand our essential connection to Gd?

Yosef's father in law threw him into prison
Moshe Rabbenu's father in law ALSO threw Moshe into prison in Midian.

So both Yosef and Moshe has that discomfort afterwards of facing a father in law who had thrown them into prison.

Mussar perhaps used to work, but not today
Today, chassidus works and speaks to the person.

That's perhaps, because we must first "sur m'ra", turn from evil or the bad (with fear); and only afterwards "aseh tov", for good

Mussar did its it's job, it's over. The bad is eliminated, now we must just do good to prepare fir the Geula.

The yetzer Hora isn't all bad"
If no yetzer Hora, no free choice. No challenges or tests.

No free choice means no reward or punishment.

It's only because of the yetzer Hora that we face and pass challenges and tests and get reward (or the opposite)

We should be happy that only people have a yetzer Hora
