    Unnecessary miracle

Shalom Rabbi Jacobson. Very nice explanation, thanks. But I have one question: as you know, the Almighty does not do unnecessary miracles, especially those that break the laws of nature. Why did he need to lengthen the hand of the daughter of the pharaoh, and then return it to its normal state, if it was possible to wind the basket to the shore, directly into the hands of the daughter of the pharaoh?

    I'm waiting for your answer.

While I was writing my question, I had a few more questions.
I do not understand the act of Yoheved, mother Moshe - what did she hope for? Is letting a child on the Nile full of crocodiles safer than dying at the hands of the Egyptians? And where was Moshe's father at that time, is he not at all in the picture? And yet, if you look at the map of Egypt at that time, we will see that the Eretz Goshen, where the Moshe family lived, is located far in the north, closer to the Mediterranean Sea, while the palace of the pharaoh from which Batia came out was in the capital Memphis, far to the south. So, Yokheved had to take children with her, go up through the floor of the country upstream of the Nile, to lower the basket into the river not far from the palace. I'm interested in the mother’s act. What motivated her to do such an act?

Did you hear the entire class? The point was that perhaps the miracle was figurative -- meaning it represented her going beyond nature, and Hashem completing it.

Is there by any chance a source sheet for this?
