*On a Spiritual 'Trip' one draws CLOSER to HaShem, whereas, the Drug 'trip' a person gets wasted and loses his/her mission in Life*

We read about arayos on yom Kippur

To make us think about "acherai", i.e. afterwards. What comes AFTER the spiritual high.

But any disgusting  aveirah besides arayos could have brought home that message as well.

Just by having a bird in the bosom doesn't

    Mean you can fly.

But......if you're in the bosom of the bird (think airplane) you CAN fly! The idea is yo lose yourself in the bird instead of trying to doin yourself minate the bird

    From Hashem's point of view

What's the difference between no idolatry and no adultery?

Maybe not much. To keep both means to obey Hasjem regardless of the seemingly small or large.  To breach either means to disregard Hashem for the seemingly small or large.

    Another explanation of "laymor"

Yes, all yidden were at Sinai including all souls of all later born yidden.

But...what about the little children that WERE at Sinai but didn't understand what transpired cuz of their immaturity.  The "laymor" could then be the obligation on the parents to explain what was said at Sinai, specifically the Haggada..
