Just Because You Inspire Me, You Don't Own Me

A Brilliant Analysis of a Difficult Rashi in Vayakhel & Naso

2 hr 2 min

Class Summary:

This class was a "chavrusa" between Rabbi YY Jacobson, in NY, and Rabbi Yitzi Horowitz, in LA. It was a text-based class on Likkutei Sichos Vol. 16, Parshas Vayakhel, presented on Thursday, 23 Adar, 5780, March 19, 2020

The Shiur dissects the famous Rashi in Vayakhel and Naso on why the leaders of the tribes of Israel were the first to dedicate offerings for the dedication of the Sanctuary, yet were the last to contribute to the construction of the Mishkan.

After listening to your 1 pm Thursday sicha, I had to ask myself some very difficult questions. Your lecture brought me face to face with such a pure and unadulterated level of emes that shook me to the core.
After the class I was disturbed. The truths of my life that I carried with pride were sitting on my lap  feeling infantile and empty. They felt hollow and shallow, a far cry from living life with real pure mature truth. I’m not saying this with judgement or criticism, but rather with love and  compassion for myself. Today I got a gift, a new dimension of truth was revealed to me. I touched a new freedom. I got the opportunity to experience a new perspective of living life with emes. Real truth, is a truth that isn’t hijacked or manipulated by any agenda. Real truth never needs to lean, it can stand on it’s own.
Wow!!! How would my life look if every time I open my mouth I’m just a channel for only pure truth. No agenda, no calculations and no manipulations.
It’s about surrendering the need to control my life and the life of others. Surrendering to the Divine light of truth and not allow other forces to divert me from my path towards Infinity....

"When leaders are lazy", but then I found it. This really helps you to get out of what they call "comfort-zone", toda.
