    "Er hott gishtaygin tzu de avodah"

    =he labored in the avodah. Here, it meant refining his character, his middos, etc.

    Ironic.  "Shteigen" (labored) is usually used by those who prioritize learning, especially deep and difficult learning.  I.e. not about middos at all. In fact some are haughty and condescending about their level of knowledge and scholarship.

    I loved how you explained the different vibes to have at the seder. How can you make sure you have that when you are solely responsible for peoples Seder, just you and your husband- no outside help because of locked borders and it will be lots of ppl, at hotel, with all the responsibilities, etc. you know the stress will be ON. How can I tell myself all these beautiful ideas when the anxiety and stress will be very much there?

    But the story is about "reb avraham".

    How to reduce anxiety at the seder? Simple

    "Just do it". Just drink 4 cups of wine (not grape juice)! No one is anxious after so much wine! Either sleepy or happy.
