Sherre Hirsch, a renowned leader in the Conservative movement, and Chief Innovation Officer of the American Jewish University, interviewed Rabbi YY Jacobson on the leadership and teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Sherre, former leader of the largest Conservative congregation on the West Coast, was eager to understand how Chabad relates to Reform and Conservative Jews; how Chabad flourishes so many years after the Rebbe's passing; and how the Rebbe impacted people so deeply.
The interview explores some of the fundamental ideas behind the Chabad movement, its spirituality, and approach to life; the reasons for its recent astounding growth in the Jewish world, and how it continues to flourish even more than two decades after the passing of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. It also deals with the future of Judaism, Chabad's views on secular Jews, skills about leadership one can learn from the Rebbe, how do we define a religious Jew, and how the Rebbe's hour-long talks were memorized and transcribed.
The interview was conducted on November 19, 2020, 3 Kislev 5781.

Let’s be embracing without being disingenuous
We need to be aware that not every person who self describes as a Jew is Jewish al pi Halacha.
Further the non orthodox movements are not committedHalachically process .We do not judge people; but we should not pretend that we agree with iconoclast theologies to sound politically correct and socially acceptable.

But Reb Joe, if she is inspired to add Yiddishkeit into her life, and she gives that to her children, and to her students, you may have thousands of Jews doing more Torah and Mitzvos, and many of them becoming more and more engaged, to the point where some of them embrace Torah fully.
Chabad rabbis and rebbetzins, and kiruv rabbis and activists of all groups, meet these types of people daily and learn with them, inspire them, and the results are often unbelievable.
These are mostly "tinokos shenishbu." See Rambam Mamrim ch. 2, and the Chazon Ish Yoreh Deah simon 2.

I agree with Isaac. Learn to see this from a more nuanced, refined, perspective, and you will be inspired to emulate it.
How many Jews became baalei teshuvah through Lubavitch and its approach?
