It would be nice for you to mention where you get your soruces. Its not derech eretz and quite deceptive to give these shiurim and pretend these are your soruces when you have just taken them from Abramson and Touger's commentary.

Halacha 8
The Rambam writes at the end of Halacha 8 that one who sins בין אדם למקום and doesn't care about your private rebuke, should be chastised and humiliated publicly, as an the Neviim did. Does this apply nowadays? Should we really be screaming at people who sin?
Also, did the all the Neviim really do this? The Rebbe said once that a Novi who spoke bad about Jews was actually punished...
I would appreciate some clarity about the application of this Halacha.

The Previous Rebbe teaches that the word בדד, (badad), alone — as much of Ben Zoma’s life was spent — forms the acronym of the words of Proverbs (Mishlei) בכל דרכיך דעהו, “Know Him in all your ways” (Igros Kodesh of the Previous Rebbe, Vol. 1, p. 381).

'Epilogue/Intro' to chapter 4?
You mentioned in beginning of the shiur to chapter 5 that you'll be adding later a 'Epilogue/Intro' as a supplement to chapter 4? I don't see that shiur posted... Was it postponed?

The new bt who cleaves and the one who only learns
it was said to cleave to tzaddikim and talmudei chachamim.
There are new bits who cleave to their rabbis, the rabbis family, mentors, even tzadikkim if possible.
And then there are new bts who delve into the books, the online shiurim, etc., and gather much new Torah knowledge.
Of course to do both is best, but when one compares the new bt cleaving to a frum mentor and his family compared to the new bt who just gathers dry knowledge without such cleaving, tge difference is noticeable.

Good middos and the talmud chocham
Yesterday there was confusion and questions about the various good middos and general "aydelkeit" ascribed to the Talmud Chocham.
I think the confusion was the result of the term used.
There can be a person who had not the opportunity to lesrn much Torah yet conducted himself either naturally or by upbringing and circumstances in all the 10 ways described in chapter 5. Historically only the rich were able to sit and learn much. Even in pre-war eastern Europe high school was for the rich only. Yet there were many refined simple unlearned people.
Even a naturally aidel refined nonjew can act consonant with all the good middos described in chapter 5.
On the other hand we all know many people who have learned much Torah,, even rosh yeshivas, who are even sharp and smart in Torah knowledge, yet who are who are pompous, condescending, "grobb", etc and who act contrary to the middos described.
Had the Rambam merely stated that the character traits described in the chapter are the gold standard for everyone,, attainable by all, and all should strive to act as described and had he used the term a refined aidel person, a mensch,, rather than the term talmud chocham which implies a certain amount of knowledge, there would hsvd been greater clarity and less confusion.
