    Question for Rabbi YY

In opening story, isnt Rav describing negative impotence, insecurity rather than positive humility? But point well taken: "No one is a victim without their consent."

    Question for Rabbi YY

In the current social context we find ourselves, where we see a mostly youthful movement on a destructive rampage throughout our cities, putting others in sometimes lethal danger with demands of dismantling all power structures. From I think another class of yours, we learned that destruction without a solid plan to rebuild is not kosher, and knowing HaShem keeps His halachos fuels our certainty about the eventuality of the Bais HaShlishi. Bringing up our children in such a social context, how do we explain the wanton violence occurring that does not seem to be coming from any force capable of repairing, let alone rebuilding much of anything? Is this part of the purging of toxicity you mentioned in this class? Should we be sanctioning it as part of a greater process, or calling it out as the opposite of the right approach?

    Question for Rabbi YY

I would like to appear live at this event
Rabbi, I helped my sister with all my heart, finances and time to help her get married. She got married and has three children. Now, she and her husband are both sour, rude and difficult towards me and my husband. Her husband is extremely disrespectful to my family. What can you suggest to peace this relationship.

    Question for Rabbi YY

Beautiful story about the Holtzbergs. However, since Mrs. H. was killed first, Gavriel inherited her. When he was killed, his father should have inherited him. So the ring really should have gone to _his_ parents. Or am I missing something?

    Question for Rabbi YY

Just a comment. Why isn't the host's name known? After all, he behaved poorly. I claim that the words of the Gemara are a bit vague. When it says `and he had an enemy, Bar Kamtza,` it is not clear who had an enemy. I claim that Kamtza had an enemy. The host was standing up for his friend's honor. Therefore, he had no right to be Mevater on his friend's honor. This fits very well with the Maharsho who says that Kamtza was the father of Bar Kamtza - for such is the nature of intrafamily feuds.
