kindness to animals
As always, Rabbi Jacobson delivered another great shiur. Just once, though, it would be great if rabbis took opportunities, such as in Chaye Sarah, to clearly say that Rivka displayed great kindness to animals. If this was a requirement among most frum women today (and men) to be chosen for marriage, most would fail miserably.

The Skulener Rebbe left himself no matza. But, if R. Moshe Hagar hadn't taken 3 extra, the Skulener would have had those 3 for himself!
Some relationships are about giving without expectation in return. Like parents and children.

וגם לשיטת רש"י תולדות כה, כ, וכן הוא בסדר עולם פרק א, סוף מסכת סופרים, פס"ז ח"ש כז, מד, ועוד, שרבקה היתה בת ג' שנים, הרי מוכח מכל המשך הסיפור שהיתה בר דעת, ולכן אליעזר דייק במעשיה ולמד מזה על תכונות נפשה וכו', ולכן אמרו נקרא לנערה ונשאלה את פי', וילפינן מזה שמשיאין האשה רק מדעתה, והיינו אשה גדולה, כי בגיל ההוא היתה כמו גדולה. וכמדומה שמבואר בכמה מפרשים שבעת ההיא הנה כנראה היתה תקופת ההתבגרות מבחינת דעת ושכל בגיל צעיר במאד. ועיין לקו"ש ח"י פרשת ח"ש.

Sure. Here is the main point in English:
I quoted in detail a debate among the rabbis if Rivkah was 3 years old, or she was 14, at the time she married Isaac.
I explained that even if she was 3, it is clear from the story that she was very mature and her opinion was taken seriously.

Thank you for the summary. I looked it up some more and found the different explanations and debates in the below article. Thinking maybe this is some of what you covered in the Hebrew? So very interesting. All the mathematical calculations and the interpretations of the different words, (e.g. virgin, maiden, maturity) by the different sages.
