a better understanding of our choices
Thank you for the inspirational shiur.
One thing I’d like to better understand. The Sfas Emess outlined the persons part in achievement to be the “decision making.” Granted. So, what does he continue saying that מ״מ אין ניכר מזה לאדם כלל לידע כמה יש בעבודתו מעצמו ורק הכל מהש״י I think it is very clear that in everything we do there is this part that we can pat ourselves on the shoulder for and that is for deciding to do so? To reiterate doesn’t belief in free choice mean להיות נכרת משורש החיות at least to some extent?
I will really appreciate your clarification on this.
