Worshipping the Deposit Slip: Likkutei Sichos Purim

How Do You Find the Balance between G-d and the Natural World?

2 hr 16 min

Class Summary:

A text based class on a Sicha of the Lubavitcher Rebbe on Purim (Likkutei Sichos vol. 31). What was so grave about the sin that the Jews during the time of Purim "enjoyed the feast of the evil king?" What's so bad about enjoying a party?

Do we need the validation of others to feel secure in our personal lives? If the world accepts us, is that a sign that we have "made it"?

What is the balance between working hard and trusting G-d? Why did Esther fast for three days of she knew she needs to appeal to the Persian King?

    Dear Rabbi Jacobson

I looked up the Gemara and the way you started the Sicha is a bit misleading.

Please see the Gemarah that stated the first part was said by Rabbi Shimon's students and the 2nd part was said by Reb Shimon. not exactly the way you explained it.
