The point is that Judaism is about bringing light into vessels. Avraham was very holy and brought down an extraordinarily sublime light, but he had few vessels. The Jewish people received Torah and Mitzvahs and brought down the light into the vessels, but it was limited and gradual. The Mesiras Nefesh on Purim brought down the ultimate light into vessels in such a way that there was nothing to improve upon it afterwards because of their incredible sacrifice.
