Thank u for these kind words of truth

Very special to hear this again eight years later. U really captured who my father was. U should continue having Sista Dishmaya with your holy work! Dini G. Ramat Bet Shemesh.

Here is the text of the email I received, from Rabbi Yehoshua Hecht, Norwalk, Conn: Dear Yosef Yitzchok

I see that you are iy"H speaking this evening at the Sholshim of Harav HaChossid Reb Meir Roness a"h,

"Praised are you" that you have the zechus to do so.

A quick remembrance of Reb Meir.

In the late 70's Reb Meir got me involved to teach Torah Or at YU residence hall on Thursday Night. At the same time Harav Schwei taught Tanya in the Beis HaMidrash at YU. Its only because of Reb Meir's insistence that I agreed to do so.

These classes were supported and organized by then students at YU --Yitzchak Wagshcal and another very aidel bochur i do not recall his name who were the CHABAD CLUB on Campus.

One memory i have while teaching a SHIUR was looking over my shoulder and seeing the RAV z"l Harav Hagaon Reb Yosef Dov HaLevi Solovetchik who seemed to be listening. I recall he was seated and also wearing his coat . Perhaps getting ready to fly back to Boston for Shabbos

There was a definite look of SEVIAS ROTZON upon his face and a hint of a smile. At the time I thought nothing of it and its only after 36 years with the passing of Reb Meir that I recalled this memory with clarity.

In any event -- a real zechus that many people have today -- for long and many more happy years -- is the fact that they were DRAFTED by Reb Meir to be part of the Hafotzos Hamayonus Chutzah to Talmedei HaYeshiva - in actuality.

Come to think of it, its one of my most treasured moments as a Bochur and then Kollel Yungerman to be sharing Toras HaChassidus with (around 10 to fifteen boys regularly attended) the Talmidim attending YU.
