    Hi Rabbi,

In regards to your recent shiur.
I believe that it's a great mistake in today's therapeutic society that marriages shouldn't be in a way of unconditional love.

The only true healing only comes when in a real life relationship two individuals accept each other unconditionally, not only by a therapist making you feel accepted. You definitely need also outside help but it's not in place of it. Unfortunately some children couldn't get unconditional love from parents, for what ever reason and if they don't receive it from someone it's very painful especially if there is also life experiences of hurt.

There is only one condition for unconditional love in marriage, to be interested in this relationship, not challenge free.

Thier are people that thier spouses are physically not well and not much functional and they don't consider the option of divorce, why are mental issues different, when the healing is actually dependent on the relationship.

Why ahvas yisroel is taught to be unconditional and a marriage not?

I understand this needs to be said right because people could use this abuseivly. Put not saying this is equally problematic for those that need this help.

    Thank you.

"Unconditional love doesn't work in marriage"

One must constantly work at the marriage. But, isn't it perhaps dafka because of the unconditional love.that motivates a spouse to to constantly work on it
