Life lessons
Didn't we learn that when Joseph's brothers came to Egypt initially, that Joseph treatment of his brothers was really a way for them to bring up the past and go through the trauma of the past so they there would be forgiveness, and they could move on as a family in the future. The same thing seems to be here with the korbon that it represents Joseph and the sin committed by his brothers by selling him, To recall that time in the past, heal from it and move forward.
Seems like the Torah is trying to teach us that we have to face the past and its traumas, learn from it, so that we can move forward with our lives in a peaceful manner.
