This makes me think of racism and sexism and in general the reason why people are antisemetistic. People fear that which they don't understand, and fear makes people do terrible things.

I can't tell you enough how I appreciate what you do for us!!! Thank you!!!

I was just listening to the Shiur on Rachel and Leah ; conscious versus subconscious.

I had always wondered why HKB"H didn't just warn Moshe Rabeinu that things will get worse before they get better when coming to redeem them. I get that there is an advantage of getting worse before getting better my question was why didn't he prepare them for it.

My whole life I've always tried to prepare myself for all future possibilities not necessarily to protect myself from them but to at least be aware of them as not to get upset or disappointed. After listening to the class I guess there are things that we must encounter in our lives that we must not have prior warning or we will not meet our Leah.

I am listening to your speech on Rochel and Leah-
I'd use the word "resent" -- in the context of Yaakov Avinu - not understanding Leah Imeinu-rather than hate. Resent is a more powerful and distant emotion- as hate is another side of the coin.
The unresolved emotions within her- festered- and created a generational repetition- in my understanding. Neither Yaakov Avinu nor Leah// discussed their feelings- as far as the text reveals.?
Thank you for all the good and rich teachings!

B'h dear Rabbi. YY Jacobson.  You were right when you said in the last 47 minutes of the Shiur- now empty yourself/ BITUL, in order to understand the deeper meaning of the Alter Rebbe Maamar - to go beyond a place of your DAAT will allow you to discover  your mission in life. Grateful!

Also you can't touch someone untill you are married. This is a contradiction of the fact that I was told the Avos followed the whole Torah.

The interpretation given is that Yaakov pointed to Rachel and then kissed his finger, this is the way sephardim 'kiss' a sefer Torah.
