False gheirut
Shalom uvrachá,
Unfortunately today the problem of getting married or to have a relation to a goya has been reinforced with a problem that looks like a checkmate: the rabbis who make thousands of "ghiurim" unscrupulous and nothing is done to stop despite the insistence the cries, the deep agmas nefesh of our unheard Roeh Neeman!

How is it recorded and what is the relevance or meaning if the child of an intermarriage then converts to Judaism ?

my question
Regarding this question, I’m thinking of a different approach.
Because it doesn’t seem logical that the sicha first argues the main purpose of this Rashi is to explain the connection to ויהי אחרי המגפה but then in the second pirush to shift completely to the point that now the main purpose of this Rashi is to explain why there is a minyan now altogether. Especially since that isn’t a question to begin with since we know that minyonim take place at such times as per parshas tisa and bamidbor
People explained here and privately that since the first part of the Rashi shows that the minyan can’t be due to chavivus, plus it’s dochuk now to say it’s about the Acurayus of the roeh, so we’re now forced to explain the purpose of the minyan to be something different entirely. But if we’re ignoring the linkage to ויהי אחרי המגפה then why not simply fall back on chsvivus as per the earlier counts in Torah?
I think maybe the second answer builds in the first and doesn’t completely reject it. We remain with the idea of the achrayus of the roeh. The second pirush is just a minor shift: rather than HaShem telling Moshe to count to TEACH HIM how to be a better roeh, HaShem is telling him to count because he’s about to return the sheep. But it’s still the vort of the shepherd’s achrayus, rather than the baal hatzon‘s interest. Hence Rashi in his second pshat still uses the word צאנו referring to the shepherd!
The fact that the rebbe seems to be sholel this approach in the חצאי רבוע on page 331, I’m thinking בדא״פ this isn’t to say that this second pirush is unrelated to ויהי אחרי המגפה entirely. It’s still closer to the מגפה than the הירגו איש אנשיו losses. However, it would be more smooth if it directly addressed the approaching מיתת משה, since that’s the focus of the counting. But this way we’re not dismissing the first pirush. Because if we dismiss the first pirush the entire rashi becomes unnecessary as per the rebbes first question in the sicha. Plus the details of the moshul as asked on page 327 question 2.
If we said the same thing I’m very happy
I think if you reread the sicha and the way the rebbe goes into the second answer, it’s shayech to see in it clearly the gang that we are taking. That the second answer is mamash a hemshech of the first one, with only one tweak, that it can’t be about teaching Moshe how to be a manhig at this stage but rather asking him to return the flock with a cheshbon.

The change of the soul's nature.
BH. The Rabbi said the soul is turned from a Jewish soul to a goyish soul. Is one referring to the natural soul or the devine soul.
What takes place when a gentile has a child with a Jewish woman?
If the child from the intermarriage then marries a Jewish woman and has a Jewish child, does this help to correct the situation?

1- does it not say manger lo yovo bikhal Hashem? How do we synchronize his Jewishness.
2- Is it brought that the 24,00 students of Rabbi Akivo were gilgulim of these 24,000 in Parshas Pinchus ? ( I think you mentioned this in a sfiras haomer Shiur. )So how can we synchronize this with Hashem not counting them ? For such a long time they were in limbo and then were taken away again ?

So Moshe doesn't exclude
So Moshe doesn't exclude but G-d does? Doesn't make sense at all. Moshe more compassionate than G-d? And that G-d allows Moshe to count them in my opinion, means that G-d in some way does count them. Moshe doesn't give up on any Jew and G-d does?

"Zeh L'uma zeh", this is opposite/mirrors that
As terrible as it is to transform a Jewish seed into a nonjewish child, a terrible aveirah deserving of special treatment, the opposite is also true:
Namely when a nonjew sincerely converts and is accepted as a jew, he or she had transformed a nonjew into a yid. And such converts are as especially beloved and to be admired corresponding to and opposite to how intermarriage and transforming Jewish seed can, chv"S become nonjewish

The Rebbe repeats the halacha that an intermarriage where the mother is not Jewish
Results in a crossing of the line between jews and nonjews. A line that should not be crossed
Yet, as we all know, sadly, the intermarriage rate where either the woman is Jewish or not, is huge and grows. It is even sanctioned by the patralineal view of modern man made versions of Judaism.

Intermarriage where a Jewish man has relations with a nonjewish woman
Can results in a nonjewish child and therefore is singled out for special treatment.
BUT in an intermarriage and relations between a Jewish woman and a nonJewish man can result in a child, a Jewish child, but is STILL FORBIDDEN and has that equally special treatment.
I.e. intermarriage forbidden and punished whether the jew is the man or the woman

Any connection between 24,000 dying from the plague
And the exact same number, 24,000, of R. Akiva's students dying from sinas chinam?

Even if Moshe was partially responsible for the deaths
We must recall how the IBM employee who caused tge company a $10 million loss by his error, he wasn't fired because, as his boss said, "we just invested $10M in your education" and you're not fired.
Moshe remains Moshe after the plague and deaths like the retained employee. And by the written record of the Torah, remains Moshe for all time

Moshe and the Rebbe
Moshe saw how the yidden succumbed to idolatry and intermarriage. He saw the devastating results, deaths and punishment Hashem sent. Though he didn't personally stop it, he left a written warning for future leaders and generations to avoid repetition.
These same problems continue until today. Idolatry today is a tayve for gashmius. Intermarriage of course still persists, bigger than ever.
For over a yoyvel, the Rebbe fought against both the tayve for gashmius (idolatry) and intermarriage. He was wildly successful.
Take a look at the many bookcases of seforim from the Rebbe. The Rebbe also left behind written incontrovertible instructions on how to continue the battle against both the modern form of idolatry and intermarriage.
But....where is our Yehoshua?

Sure Moshe knew he was about to die abd wouldn't continue
To be the leader/shepherd. But a conscientious leader/shepherd leaves behind written instructions for his successors to follow and not repeat mistakes. And Moshe was writing succeeding parshas of the Torah as events unfolded even down to the last, the pesukim of his own death..
A good leader knows he won't live forever and leaves written incontrovertible instructions for his successors.
Like the Rebbe did.

As far as I remember, Moshe didn't say anything about it - the torah was revealed to the jews by Eliezar, who said it was from Moshe.
And as you succullantly put, he wrote about the affects of his own death. An editing error by the writer or extremealy good forsite?

There is no contradiction between the owner and the employee/shepherd
BOTH wanting to count. The owner is concerned about his "inventory" while the conscientious employee/shepherd also wants to know how he erred (and so to avoid it again)
