Meir Kay in Conversation with Rabbi YY Jacobson on "The Great Day Podcast with Meir Kay."
What does a great day look like? family history; memorizing the Rebbe's hours-long talks; juggling the stress of life; allowing yourself to connect with a reality that transcends words; facing your emotional pain; understanding your power; dealing with failure and regrets; the power of authentic prayer.

Amazing! again....
The קדושת לוי which Rabbi YY quoted is on יהושע not in פרשת שלח as mentioned

Healing Trauma
Thank you, Rabbi YY, for the honesty and wisdom and vulnerablitiy that you shared on this podcast.
I would like to add something on the topic of language and trauma.
The stories we tell ourselves about our traumas are not entirely responsible for the fact that we suffer long after the trauma has passed.
Rather, the nervous system of the human being stores the survival energy that was generated, but remained stuck, in a thwarted defensive response or freeze when their life was endangered.
As you said, the animal prey that plays dead shakes off its trauma through running and or trembling.
Generally, the human being does not have this option. The result is the development of PTSD symptoms which may afflict an individual for the rest of their life, if untreated.
The techniques of Somatic Experience therapy (Dr Peter Levine) or Self Regulation Training (Dr Reggie Melrose) help a person release the trauma that is stuck in their body (The Body Keeps the Score by Besel Van Der Kolk) by guiding them to notice sensations.
The reptilian brain (responsible for survival) does not recognize language, only sensation.
While there is what to be said for positive thinking, reframing, affirmations, and the like, we actually can not free ourselves of traumatic responses simply through changing our language.
