a poem based on class
Pinchas: Two daily sheep the G-dly upkeep The tearful queen on her deathbed
Had one last longing plea
Be sure our sons are safely led
My husband please promise me.
Before you charge me over our sons
Charge them over me
That they remain as righteous ones
To guard with loyalty.
As Moshe's days on earth grew short
He asked that G-d assure
The flock was led by a proper escort
So their souls would ever be pure.
Tzivisah Yehoshua to lead
As shepherd G-d replied
But you must assure they'll meet my need
In my ways they must abide.
Tzav es bnai Yisroel and say
Kvasim they should bring each day
Morning and afternoon to convey
Their connection to My way.
The korban tamid a basic belief
The Shimon Ben Pazi rite
A simple act but one that's chief
Encompassing Yiddishkeit
But what of human creation
In the very image of G-d
Or Shema Yisroel invocation
Faithfulness under His rod
Ve-ahavtah le-re-echa ka-mocha
Show loving-kindness to mankind
But Ben Ploni and Ben Pazi saw
It's daily commitment that must bind
In Temple times kevasim G-d’s fare
His korban was His bread
But now a weekday minchah prayer
For Infinite needs instead.
As the sun rises and at its descent
And even throughout the night
G-d expects our thoughtful intent
To maintain the Holy birthright
Ha-keves echad ve-keves ha-sheyni
Karbani lachmi reyach nichochi
Every day and afternoon with constancy
To fill G-d's need of intimacy
One if by land and two if by sea
We hold these evident truths to be
But prayer twice daily to divinity
Can bond us with infinity.
A constant connection is G-d's true need
There cannot be a gap
As morning, noon, and night proceed
The message of this week's rap.

Source
thanks I really enjoyed the shuir. What is the source on the concept that hashem created a void? I see the Midroshim what is a source on the point that this is what metaphor stands for. Thanks

Thank you so much for “G-d is lonely without you.” You have helped us understand what the sages know, that G-d loves us and needs us. This helps us in our mission to become Geulah Jews.
And it’s the same with the Tzaddikim, as the Midrash says "Tzaddikim reflect their Creator." The same is with our Rebbe: he loves us and needs us (to pay attention to his words, heed his directives, and to live with him 24/7, being that he is an Eved Hashem.
With esteem and blessing!
