Sometimes believing that davening is the only option possible because this situation is hopeless is really returning to the metzar mentality and paradigm of not being able to have the freedom and trust to see new possible actions. For example when a person says I feel my life is hopeless and therefore I’m going to remain sitting on my couch and I’ll daven till God will show me a way out, that’s called being stuck in Mizraim. A person that closes his siddur and ventures out of the house with the full trust that God is going to help him, even though he doesn’t yet see how, that person is a free man he broke the shackles of Mizraim. And that was God’s instruction to BY to continue the journey away from the bondage mentality of hopelessness and surrender towards freedom, liberation and unlimited possibilities...

    the 5th option

One of the people in one of my groups asked these quesions.  Considering all the options of what the Jews had, the four different option, there wasn't the "key" to go forward until a pusik later (16) where it speaks about Hashem telling Moshe to lift up his staff and the sea will split, which seems to imply that regardless of all of the opinions and all of the options nothing could happen unitil thie "key" to traveling further is availab.e Also we don't know the timeline of Nachoson's jumping inot he water since a prereqisite to the sea splitting was Moshe raising his staff.
