So, if everything is from HaShem, and one must walk with emuna and accept what happens, how does one deal with childhood traumas such as growing up with a dysfunctional parent, abusive parent--and later, forgive and move on? A child did not ask for this although a child chooses his parents, according to Kabbala.

How does one perceive life-threatening illness, childlessness? How would one know for what and how to be mtakein?

It\'s easy to hear and say to others that this fate is their punishment, a decree from heaven. How do I, as a counselor, help them accept this? How do I respond when people say, "But, I\'m such a good person. How did this happen to me?" What do I say when someone says that his/her only child passed away?

What about the shootings in Connecticut?

Sometimes, confrontation and refutation is appropriate. For some, this may be the challenge--to assert oneself and develop gvura and overcome passivity.
